Motel 6 Fort Collins, CO

It really wasn’t worth the money I saved by staying somewhere cheaper. The bathroom faucet literally came off of the sink when trying to use it, the room smelled like an ashtray and there was garbage everywhere. Yellow “water” stains could be seen all over the walls in the bathroom and most of the lights in the room didn’t work. There was zero chance that I was going to walk on the floor without shoes. I love Motel 6 for their simplicity, rates and allowing pets at no extra charge- but if you value your hygiene and probably your safety? Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

Comfortable staff is friendly and willing to help in any way you need. just communicate with office and they will meet your needs. Great access to laundry and able to pay by phone.

The room was pet friendly and it was not clean enough, animal hair on the carpet and stinky. At least the staff was kind and gave us a broom and a fragance spray.

First, the grounds and parking lot were extremely dirty and trashy. My room was dirty even though it “was cleaned “. I found a dirty wash cloth in the sink. The furniture was dirty and falling apart. There were stains on the walls. Second, they provided (2) bars of soap. I had to purchase shampoo from the front desk for $2.00. It’s not about the money it’s about providing the proper toiletries. Third, the people above were up all night. I could hear them stomping on the floor, dropping stuff, moving furniture…etc. There was a couple of workers working on the rather disgusting pool. Their equipment was loud and they worked late. Does Motel 6 even check on their properties around the country? If they do and they allow this place to exist…shame on them. They should be embarrassed. This place should refund my money and then tear the place down. One word…DISGUSTING!

This hotel is really ran down and not maintained. My biggest issue was our room wasn’t clean, particularly the bathroom. Toilet had pee in it when we checked in, granted you had to hold the flusher down a long time to flush. Hair in the shower, I refuse to shower there. Don’t walk away, run.

Room was under construction. Lamps didn’t work, door didn’t close right, shower was missing half the connectors for the curtain. Probably my worst hotel experience ever

Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot. Could use a more thorough cleaning. Worse thing was the.keys had to be reprogrammed each time we left. Staff was helpful and very pleasant. 😀

We came for graduation weekend and was in for a bit of a shock. The room was under construction and had open air vents, electric sockets exposed, dead bolt didn’t lock and was missing trash cans to name a few. When we reached out to the owner/operator for assistance he became combative with simple requests such as helping us with the deadbolt issue and clean towels and told us that people lived on the property that take towels and we need to trade them in when he gets around to the laundry. I paid over $600 for the long weekend and I didn’t feel safe in the room as well as in the property.

Don’t stay here. It was run down and disgustingly dirty! We wouldn’t not could not stay there! There is nothing good I can say about this property!

I was given towels at the front desk and told to bring the dirty towels to the front desk for clean towels. I checked into the hotel and had to check out immediately due to 1. The general condition of the hotel parking lot littered with trash, the covered swimming pool with lawn furniture thrown on top 2. The room itself was dirty with visible hair and the remains of cotton on the floor. Then they would not refund my full payment when it went back to the front desk for a refund. There is a 30 minute limit on refunds and I was back at the front desk in 10 minutes.

Staff was helpful. Shower pressure was good and had plenty of hot water.

Los otros cuartos huelen mucho a tabaco. Solicitamos que limpiaran el cuarto, durante toda mi estancia nunca entraron a la habitación para limpiarla. Lo más importante fue que todas sus sábanas, fundas de las almohadas y toallas estaban muy manchadas. Y el mueble sin terminar de construir. La cortina del baño casi se cae porque no está completa, algunos ganchos de la cortina de baño estaban rotos, eso hace que el agua de la regadera se salga causando un problema de secado complicado de limpiar.

Everything worked as it should and the staff is great. This is a no frills(no breakfast) type hotel but a good one with privacy and quiet. I will definitely stay there again.

The staff was real , good , friendly and kind. The bed's are good. I love the beds. They are super comfy and not hard. There are several things that I don't like about This place is one.There is a lot of people walking around at all times of the night. Only part of the motel I felt safe was up front by the office. We have been warned about the back of the motel. It is not a safe or a nice place to be. The other thing I don't like is lady that works to night shift she does not care about the customers. How to incident about a stray dog a customer's dog that was running loose in almost attacked me and my dog. Went into the front office let her know what was going on she acted like she did not care.

There was one staff member staff member that was extremely but I mean extremely rude she had threatened to call the cops on us when we were just waiting for our ride outside and we weren't even doing anything just waiting At one point they had accused my girlfriend of being on drugs but she's mentally unstable and the laundry didn't dry my clothes I had to run the cycle at least 3 times for it to fully dry We shouldn’t have been put through that 0 out of 10 would not recommend

Liked the low payment and waffle house next door For a non smoking room it smelled so bad like old cigarette smoke, the comforters on both beds had stains when I went and asked for new ones front desk guy brought us back the same ones and said just came out of dryer, told me I had to wait for housekeeping to get an extra blanket, even though we were only there one night. Then when I went to bed it smelled like an animal had pee on stand. This was one of the worst stays i have ever experienced at a motel 6.

Bright spot: the gal at the front desk was helpful when the 1st room had a bad odor. 2nd room was better because it smelled fine. She did her job well considering the circulstance Pool was sparkling but was not open yet. Thankfully, we were only there a few hours for a break to relax. Won't be back. You can get your money elsewhere.

The person at the front counter was really polite and helpful. There were multiple dried blood splatter on the walls. The bed had dirty linens. The towels were unuseable and dirty. The door didn't close correctly and the safety latch overlapped the door mechanism so it did not secure all the way. The fridge leaked onto our baggage. We had to ask for cleaner to clean the bathtub prior to bathing/showering. There were flies all over. The ac blew musty wet air but made the room stuffier.

The issued room keys are masters that unlock ALL of the motel doors, there are no microwaves, refrigerators, or hot water in the rooms.

Overall the room was clean, beds a little rough, sheets looked clean, bathroom shower looked rough and dirty. A good place to crash for a night but not for extended stay.

My room 101 was infested with flies. Dead ones, and what seemed like at least 20 alive Flies. I was killing flies all day & night and you could see the dead fly carcasses on the walls & floors where the housekeepers didn’t even bother to clean them up. It’s weird because fly strips literally cost nothing but you can tell they invested thousands in the lobby remodel.. Priorities sir..

In general it was good. The beds were ckean and comfortable, but only one had a blanket. The towels in the bathroom looked like they had justtben shaken out and rehung, but there was sir on them. There were a lot of flies in thd room.

Credit card machine broken. Had to pay cash. No receipt. Room smelled bad. Window hard to open & close. Old, stained sheets and bedding. Old, uncomfortable beds. No trash can. Bathroom vent cover hanging off the wall. Limited to 2 towels even though we had 3 adults. We were told we would have to go down to the office with a used towel in order to exchange it for a clean one. Wayne was kind and apologetic.

The “non-smoking” room stank of smoke. We checked out after the first day and found a clean room in a different hotel.

Dirty worse place I have ever stay will never return

People walking around late at night, smoking, yelling, crying. Small bed, no other furniture, no fridge, no micro. 2 pillows in a full bed for two people with no real blanket or bedspread. Cheap? yes, kinda nasty? Yup

Booked two nights. When I came back the second evening my room was empty. I thought everything had been stolen. Front desk had my bag though; they had just thrown everything in there and checked me out. They blamed Hotels.com saying that their message from them showed I only booked one night, even though my confirmation said two. Next day the manager was on site. And the story had changed. Now apparently I had asked for an early checkout and a refund, even though I hadn’t even talked to anyone that morning. Manager refused to own up to their mistake, even though it was clearly a mixup of guests, saying he trusted the woman that claimed that I asked for a checkout. A woman that I’ve never met or talked to. I guess their mistake will become apparent in the coming days, when that other guy that DID check out contacts them, asking what happened to his refund… I did not expect the Ritz in a place like this. Just a clean bed. Which I got. But I do expect hotel staff to be competent enough to tell their guests apart! And if something seems wrong (like when a guest asks for an early checkout and refund, but still has his stuff in the room) do a little investigation or research before storming ahead and throw the stuff out of the room. They had my number. They could have just called…

The staff was friendly and the room was very nice for the price, bed very comfortable. However something was stolen out of our car while we were loading and taking the dogs out.

I mean, you kinda expect it. The shower looks like it was installed in 1970 and hadnt been cleaned in a while. No remote for TV, smelled like cigarettes. Worker at the desk was pleasant, thats about all i can say thats nice though.

A lot of drug activty in the area. The laundry area was horrible. One washer was filled with stinky water. The other washer worked. The dryer took 2 hours to dry one load. The room itself was ok. I mean it is a motel 6. One good thing. Easy off and on the higheay and next to a not so friendly Waffel House

I like where it is situated and restaurants at walking distance. It was also very peaceful and safe. The bed was comfortable even though it had a dip on it and I had to move to the other side. The floor I had to mop myself after buying a mop. After that I felt very comfortable in the room. I recommend mopping the floors.

No food options. Had coffee maker. No microwave or refrigerator. Smoke alarm was disconnected and parking was limited. Rooms are small. This looked like an addiction hang out. Didn't feel safe. One thing they had I liked is the walk in shower. Staff was average.

The waffle house that was 24 hours next to it was very convenient.

Human hair on them. Clearly the sheets were not changed between guests. One of the worst places I have ever stayed. Luckily i brought my own sheets. Don’t stay here.

Check in great, Room Alright, typical motel 6. Kinda upset the toilet wasn’t flushing good and overflowed right off the bat, but room service was kind enough to bring a plunger and said to swap towels out at the office. The only thing is that I do not really feel safe while staying here to be honest

Motel was pretty good value. Clean bed, shower & surfaces which I was happy with for the price. Good a/c too! The floor was a little unkept but I wasn't too concerned.

The gentleman at the front desk made every effort to accommodate us however I found the beds uncomfortable. There was no good place adjacent to the motel to walk my dogs.

Front desk clerk was awesome at check-in. Room was dirty bathroom dirty. Towels at least were changed. It is what it is now just a bed for the night.

The facility was full of homeless people and they were dirty and smoking all the time in the hallway, pool, and outside, maybe inside as well. The room was full of ordor and I spotted several bugs, not a bed bug though. Everything was dirty and the AC did not work properly. One of the two ice machines was not making ice and the front desk guy (brown skin guy) complained why I was getting so much ice. I had to because the room was not equipped with a fridge. I had to cool my food down for traveling. I had no option but he blamed me. Only good thing was the white guy at the front desk when I checked in.

Not in a great area but the stay was fine since I was only in my room to sleep. The room was still dirty even though it was “cleaned”. Recommend bringing your own pillow and blankets when staying. The people in and around the facility were questionable but had no personal issues, just intimidating and not a comfortable place to be.

Whole room was filthy. Floors, bed, showers, pretty much everything was dirty.

Supposedly this motel is transitioning back into motel 6. The room is fine. The beds were clean from what I could tell. No bugs. And the shower had good pressure and temp control. The only problem is that the cleaning staff need to do better. The table by the beds had sticky stuff on it. The bathroom sink had a hairball stuck in the drain and the AC while cold had foodstuffs stuck inside it and hadn't been cleaned in a while. The walls had exploded soda or something else on the walls. If this gets fixed, it would be a comfortable stay.

The room smelled and was dirty. Were moved to a different room which smelled of bleach and was also dirty. Toilet did not flush correctly. Told staff when we left for the day in the morning. Nothing was done about it. When we got back in the evening the manager came with a plunger and got it working then walked out of the room dripping toilet water across the floor. Walked up to the front to get a clean towel and was refused a clean towel unless I brought in one to trade. Designated smoking areas but apparently okay for staff to smoke as they are walking into office. Nothing available for the"grab and go" breakfast, soda machine sold out. Shall I go on? This property is switching to being a Motel 6 tomorrow, but Tom Bodett would not want to be connected to it!

There also appears to be long term guess on the property. I experienced many guest/people pacing the property through the day so felt weary of my things in the room. I took my things with me in car when I was away. Thought it was safer in my rental car vs in my room.

My husband and I were both poked by the hooks trying to pull the curtain around so we did not have a huge puddle in the bathroom. The vents were not clean and the floor felt like it hadn’t been swept very recently. Only one of the outlets in the room worked. The television had white dots in the picture making it difficult to watch anything. I spent almost $700 to stay in that dump for 3 days. NEVER AGAIN will I stay there.

Nightmare. The sheets were filthy, as was the room. I even asked for clean sheets to make the bed myself and was told I could sleep on towels if I needed something clean.

Clean bed and hot water. That's the only positive thing I have to say. Half the outlets didn't work. Bring your own everything. No shampoo. Towels are paper thin. No hair dryer or iron. If you need a bar of soap, hot shower and a clean bed. There ya go!

I did not like that they 86'd breakfast in the middle of a three day reservation. They did continue the coffee.

They cut out breakfast for what it's worth. It wasn't much to begin with just muffins or à honeybun and coffee.

The peace and quiet was pleasant for being just off the highway. Staff resolved an issue quickly and made sure everything was right.

The people who run this hotel are top notch..There were a few equipment challenges but they stepped up immediately and fixed the issues. I would not hesitate to study again. Good people, good room, good price.

I've stayed at places before understanding the low cost sacrifices some comfort, but this was by far the worst! Never again! Floor was not clean, hair and dirt everywhere! The walls had something on them everywhere and were damaged. Water damage everywhere! The tub was clogged and full of back up. The toilet seat had urine on it. Was it even cleaned?! There was such a huge gap from the missing weather strip on the door that I was freezing! The heater could not keep up and the snow came inside! You couldnt pay me to stay here! Completely unacceptable

When I checked in at 3 pm in the afternoon Zach was a delight and very helpful. If I needed anything he was always willing to help. The room while small was very clean and functional. My favorite part was the bathroom shower. It was very unique and shaped like a cylinder. I loved using it and it would be a main reason why I would definitely come back. My one complaint would be the older lady who worked the morning shift on my checkout date. She was not a nice woman and accused me of not being a guest. When I went down for breakfast she said it was only for paying guest. I told her what room I was in and that it was my second day and I had paid for two days. It seems to me that if you pay for a two day stay you get two days of breakfast even if that second breakfast is a check out day. I didn't like her accusations and implications that I was not entitled to what everyone else was. She was rather nasty about it. However, I would stay there again as I really liked it all except that interaction.

I was not expecting the Ritz but my room had bedspreads with holes, most lights did not work, the air conditioner did not work and the mattress was worse than my cot in college. Disappointing

I didn’t like anything the mattress was broken or it was like it was 10 years old old, rundown, black widow bugs doors didn’t lock windows didn’t lock. Shower was terrible very unsafe. It was like being living in Skid Row.
