The Ok: Hotel its self could a use little renovation. Elevators seems like they could use some Maintinence. Morning breakfast was ok. Cold most days. Wish the parking was better lit especially in the back parking lot If staying multiple days. Be prepared for a steep deposit. $50 per night instead of one flat rate. If you want your rooms cleaned you have to let the front desk know to put you down for a scheduled room clean The Good: Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was very attentive and super helpful. Especially the manager on duty. Any problems we had he handled super quickly and got it done right away. Location is very convenient and close to many restaurants and shops around Lomard. Overall would stay here again if we were to come back to Lombard

Convenience Seemed very crowded at breakfast small space for sitting and many guests. Pool crowded and lots of water on floor where people exited pool area had to watch out slippery. Hotel elevators were slow and overpacked had one elevator down so took stairs from 5 floor to checkout lobby carrying luggage.

The front desk staff was excellent and very responsive. I enjoyed Happy Hour at the bar, but didn't necessarily like it was only Bartesian as an option for cocktails. The breakfast was a nice selection and edible. I appreciated that coming with 4 teens.

The bathroom was extremely small!! We were provided a room next to the “ice machine “ which people accessed at all hours of the night.

The options for breakfast was ok except we had to request turkey sausage as they only provided pork. This place is stuck in the 1980's. The room smelled like a cross between a dirty ashtray and a musty basement. They also don't have smart TV's to stream You Tube or Netflix or Prime. I got in late and didnt feel like making an issue about it that night. I decided to move to a hotel closer to where i needed to be the next night, they were previously sold out. HOTEL'S. com wouldn't do anything to cancel my 2nd night except offer me $50 in there bonus miles or whatever they are. Not using that or there app again, buyer beware USE the hotels website and deal directly with them. I've found these 3rd party apps take the money and run, no help at all if there is an issue.

The TV unfortunately was outdated. Unable to connect any streaming services. The guide was terrible as it only had the tv codes and no description. Internet was terrible.

This hotel in the past was a great place to go when I wanted a staycation, but it has definitely lost its luster over the years. I had a king accessible room and the bed had a crater in the middle of it. I had to climb out every time I wanted to get out of bed and I am person with limited mobility. I then used the shower and there were literal boogers on the shower curtain. This stay was a true disappointed.

The staff was very courteous. The room was clean. The breakfast was what I expected from a hotel complimentary buffet. We were in room 314 which was close to the elevator, and we we heard that noise during the night. The bed was also so soft, it was so sunken, and very low to the ground. But overall stay was very good.

What impressed me most was the highly insulated room; walls are thick and we did not hear any disturbances from the adjacent rooms. Breakfast offered many selections from fresh scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes and even fresh fruits; coffee was made fresh each day. The pool and fitness area were clean as well. Overall, we were pleased with the price for three-day stay in a strategically located place with several restaurants.

The breakfast was okay. I'm not a fan of not having individual yogurt or milk. It's not easy to just grab and go especially for a person who was on a tight schedule. I missed breakfast all together one morning due to given wrong time.

I was in town for a dance competition so the hotel was booked. But that did not matter to the staff, the place was very clean; always saw staff cleaning everywhere even the lobby. The breakfast was always full of food, drinks and water and food was hot. Mercy, she covered the front desk was so helpful. She was able to help me with questions about places in the area. She helped me order food to my room. My daughter would stop downstairs to purchase snacks and my daughter would come back up saying how nice and caring she was. Mercy was working late nights and early mornings, but that never affected her. She was nice, big smile. I will definitely come back to it this hotel because of the great staff. They were even asking my daughter how her dancing went! There was also a security guard on duty in the hotel! Felt very safe. Thank you!

However, the elevators took an extremely long time, which quickly became frustrating -especially with kids. When we first entered our room, I was happy with it. It seemed clean and comfortable at first glance. But once we settled in, I started noticing things that made me uncomfortable. There were dried drips of some kind of liquid on the room door that I didn't catch right away. The next morning, when the sunlight came in, it made everything more visible-and honestly, it was pretty disgusting, especially since I had my small children with me. Thankfully, I had brought antibacterial wipes. On the second night, we went to the pool, which was another disappointing experience. It didn't seem like any rules were being enforced. There were children without adult supervision, fighting, using inappropriate language, and running wild. One child was even playing on the handicap chair, which was concerning and unsafe. Later that night, after returning to the room, I noticed a large buildup of dirt and grime along the shower door while cleaning up water from the floor. The menu was fresh I just think the quality should have been better, the orange juice wasn’t orange juice it was some kind of orange drink mix. Only plain bagels were served.

No laundry facilities or hot tub.

I received a $150 charge on my account and just figured that it was a deposit. The charge then went down to $111 and I decided to call because it never dropped off. I was informed that that was a pet cleaning fee. We are local and would have never stood there if we were informed about the fee. I have a 40 pound dog who stood curled up in the corner because she was afraid of the thunderstorm. Had I brought her in the side door, no one would have even known she was there. Every other hotel that I have taken my dog to, simply charges the $50 deposit and refunds it when they see that the dog did not make a mess. I stood at the Hyatt because my boyfriend was in town from college and his family lives in Villa park. We stay at the Hampton Inn in itasca, all the time, with no fee. When I called today, the woman that I spoke to, merely said she would talk to the manager about training the staff to make sure that they let the customer know of the charge. She also said that the fee is $100 whether you stay for a day or a week. I checked in at 6:30 pm and checked out at 10:30am, the next day. That comment was just like a smack in the face.

AVIOD this Hotel unless its an emergency and you just need a bare minimum place to lay your head. The property is not managed very well. THe matress feels like a BED OF BRICKS with a sheet over them. The evevator seems very unsafe,the rugs in the main hallways are dirty and when you turn the AC on in the room the air smells like Mildew. I voiced my concerns with the manager Abdullah and his response was basicaly "Oh well... we'll do better next time" and he offered me some losy points which I did not accept. ONLY STAY AS A LAST RESORT!

We booked a room for a high level, it was raining that day and we came back to the room with a leak in the wasgroom ceiling from the rain. They changed the room for us for a lower level. This was very inconvenient with have to move all of our stuff with 3 children. It rains and snows quite a bit in this area, this issue should not happen I can tell from the smell in the room. When I called to complain the immediate descent it's from the rain and they didn't even come and check the leak which tells me they knew about this issue. The breakfast buffet is very limited in comparison to other hotels we stayed in the area previous years. They don't have hand lotion in the rooms. We were very disappointed with the overall quality for the money we paid. I would never book here again.

Enjoyed our stay and great location. Some children running in hallways but stopped about 10pm. I wish the coffee and tea was available 24/7. Staff were wonderful.

This was my second stay there and this time the sheets had what looked to be blood stains. One of the big towels had hair on it and there was still used soap in the shower

Pool was green so with that being said it was enough for us to leave as it was a staycation for the family to relax and enjoy a clean hotel! Never again! I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Sorry, but manager needs to address the concerns of a customer instead of being rude. But like he said, “I guess a customer is always right!” When refunding me back for one night he made sure to charge me another night. Just wow!

The room had some cleanliness issues that made us feel like checking out 1 day early. Also, the TV kept goi my in and out and they did not have streaming capabilities (which I know is not a big deal, but when the cable is going in and out and it’s raining outside, the kids want to watch Disney, ya know?) The bed was really uncomfortable. However, the breakfast looked and smelled pretty good.

Loved what the hotel had to offer, the staff were more than welcoming and so sweet! The breakfast was beyond expectations! We were able to serve our family members who are gluten free and lactose free! My only complaint was that the pool was over crowded and the water was very cloudy I didn’t feel comfortable letting my family swim in it.

Had a great stay. Only issues we had were getting a crib which ended up being a pack-n-play that was quite dirty on arrival. Also, there was some kind of really loud party in the patio one night - lots of kids running around and making a lot of noise. We were hoping staff would shut it down by 10 but it didn’t end up getting quiet until after 11.

I generally love Hyatt Place, but in this one, my first room had a very stained sofa and wasps in the room. I was moved due to the wasps. On weeknights, it was relatively calm but on Friday and Saturday nights it was party central with multiple rooms having 10+ guests plus visiting friends not staying at the hotel. I still love Hyatt Place in general but won’t be staying at this one again. Also, when ordering food from the bar, it took over 1.5 hours to get our food…which somehow was all cold.

There was trash all around the outside of the property. The lobby and breakfast areas looked clean. The rooms had older, stained furniture and carpeting and just felt dirty. There was also a domestic dispute that woke up the family multiple times during our stay.

We were enjoying ourselves until the until the front desk came and knocked on our door and said that we couldn’t play music in our room and the time was 901 and we knew that the quiet time was at 10 o’clock and they didn’t say anything about the people cross the hall from us are gonna keeping us up all night long plus talking about fighting each other and kids running up and down in the hall knocking on people doors over your head so why did we get so much of a hard time when they didn’t do anything to those people that was arguing and the kids

The entire hallway smelled like marijuana all evening and the next morning. The pool water was dirty. Floor around pool looked like it had mold on it. I am very disappointed in my stay. It was my daughter’s 12th birthday and she wanted to leave right away.

First, it felt unsafe, with very poor security. A group of teenagers was running around the hallways screaming at 10 pm and it took 3 calls to the front desk before they sent someone to investigate. Then, at 2:30 am a woman was knocking on doors and waiting. She may have been drunk/ high or maybe was trying to gain entry to guest rooms. Again; no security to resolve this. Finally, the pool was filthy/ cloudy, where you couldn’t even see the bottom where it was only 4 ft deep. We arrived at 9 am and it was covered with the equivalent of pond scum, but in this case it was nasty skin cell detritus and who knows what diseases. There were at least 30 people in a pool that should only have had 10-20 max.

While I didn't physically see any, I came home with several bed bug bites. When I walked into the room, the thermostat was set as high as it would go and I didn't think anything of it. Now, I'm wondering, after seeing several other reports of bed bugs, that this was the hotel's way of trying to eradicate them. Outside of that, the hotel was very nice, and the room was comfortable and spacious. I was there for work, so I wasn't in the room very much, other than to sleep.

The service was really good. The person who checked me in, named Rao, was extremely polite, kind, and friendly. He also did so when I asked where to allocate my room. He also provided some additional information, and we completed the check-in. Rao is truly commendable. Of course, the breakfast was quite good with a wide selection of food, but what was most noticeable was how much the cafeteria staff cared about replenishing the food and keeping the cafeteria clean.

shout out to Patrycia for getting us checked in without issue. it was weird that the box spring and mattress were directly on the floor. excellent installations of the bars in the shower area for patrons safety going into and out of tub area. the breakfast bar was especially well run even on Christmas morning. we will stay here again if needed.

While the location was great, there were several huge issues with this hotel. The biggest issue was that our room had bedbugs had and my child was covered in bites. Additionally, there are no laundry facilities and no in room microwaves. Maid service is by request only, so your room won’t be cleaned unless you make a special request. The breakfast is free, but just so-so.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Bed was saturated in urine, feces, and whatever else. Sent a picture to the manager. They apologized and said they will look into a partial refund. After numerous attempts to get a response I had to contact Expedia. Manager told Expedia no. Horrible customer service. Never expected this from a Hyatt. Accommodations worse than a Motel 6.

My sheets and pillow cases were a bit dirty and I feel the staff could pay attention to detail a little more. Rose petals found on the floor, along with scent in room not being as fresh. Other than that, I loved my stay.

It's been over a decade since I've been back here. The staff is great and very accommodating. It's aged a bit in strains/ dust but it's to be expected over the years. Nothing a good deep cleaning couldn't fix. I'm concerned about the parking. It fills up fast but it's super dark in the parking area behind the property. As a woman I would like more lighting since there's no security presence.

I was staying here for 2 nights and after the 1st night I woke up and found a bed bug....I killed it and took a picture. I got up looked around and found another one so I took a video of it. I said NOPE and I got up, showered, got clothes that I knew were safe and went to Walgreens to get trash bags and put all my clothes in that to try to protect my clothes (this was like at 7am). I gathered all my things and went downstairs to tell the front desk what had happened, that I was leaving to wash all my clothes at the nearest laundromat and that I was expecting a full refund. The guy at the front said I should call the general manager later when he arrives after 8am. I did that but no answer, I left him a voicemail explaining what happened and he never called me back... I contacted Expedia and explained what happened and that I wanted a refund, they followed up with the hotel as well trying to file a claim for me to get a refund. By this time I had already gone to a nearby Hilton with all my clothes washed and I even left everything in the car since it was like 90 degrees outside. I wanted to take no chances with the bed bugs. I was working all day and Expedia kept telling me that the hotel wasn't responding regarding my claim and it wasn't until the next day that they told me that the hotel refused to give me any kind of refund.... DISGUSTING!!!!

The rooms we got was smelly and the carpet was dirty and stained. Was not a pleasant to be in . Then our family who was in another room got bed bugs bites. We spoke with management and left the next day. 8 sent a request for a refund. I'm still waiting to hear back from Orbitz personnel.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was your typical hot continental breakfast.

Huge clean room! Comfortable beds and really nice sectional couch. Good continental breakfast including eggs and sausages plus usual cereal, fruit etc. front desk staff very friendly and polite. Pool is small but heated and clean. Nice outdoor patio. And great location!

Sleeping rooms are nice. Beds were very comfortable. All the basics covered including sitting area for watching tv. Great family hotel. I do not recommend for a quiet relaxing stay. Too noisy, kids running up and down hall before 7am with no parental supervision. The room doors do not have a catch and because they are heavy slam and shake neighbors walls.

The customer service at this hotel is wonderful. They go out of their way to help you feel appreciated. Room is spacious with a full sofa, ottoman and a separate area with a desk and another with a sink, microwave and refrigerator. Bed and linens were comfortable. Complimentary breakfast is excellent with many choices for those with various diet restrictions. Area around hotel has many dining offerings and shopping.

Stayed for a week. Hotel pool was very cloudy. I noticed a jug of clarifier in the trash so I mentioned it to hotel to see if it was tested and safe to swim and they said its always like that due to sunblock and people in the pool (pool is indoor). Then on last day as I was leaving hotel, I was at the lobby desk talking to the managers asking how to print my boarding passes. Unknown to me someone started wet mopping the floor behind me. When I turned to walk away i slipped very hard and fell on the floor. They helped me get up off the floor gave me Tylenol and water and sent me on my way. I had to get my husband to walk me back to the room and we later went to urgent care. Urgent care told me to get them to do an incident report and get their insurance info so that I didnt have to pay y he expenses out of pocket. I did as instructed. They never sent me a repoort or their insurance info. They just sent me an email blaming me for not noticing tge wet floor signs.

There were bugs in the bathroom and we found one under our sheets. When we asked for a new room, the new room had dead and living flies, as well as a lot of spiders.

Every thing was great except the breakfast. Not up to par with other Hyatt Place. Green bananas, yellow oranges, scrambled eggs that tasted like they were powered eggs. Overcooked turkey sausage.

Upon arrival, we were met with a strong foul odor in the lobby. One elevator was broken for our entire stay, and the other was overcrowded—sometimes requiring up to 30 minutes of waiting for my family of six. The hotel was hosting a large wedding, which made access even harder. Our room was not maintained to Hyatt standards: significantly stained bedding and towels, no housekeeping unless specifically requested (which we were not told), a broken iron and dryer, and a poorly draining shower. The pool area was also disappointing. The door lock malfunctioned, preventing access part of the time, and when we did get in, the water was visibly dirty with debris and insects. The breakfast offered was normal but the quantities and upkeep of the area were subpar, notably because of the amount of people in the hotel. I travel often and have stayed at many Hyatt locations, but this was one of the most unpleasant stays I’ve experienced. I have requested a partial refund or credit toward a future stay and hope Hyatt addresses these issues for future guests.

The staff was very nice and informative with any questions we had. They were helpful in accommodating connecting rooms with our large family. Rooms were clean and nice to have a hot breakfast in the morning.

Stayed 3 nights. If you are traveling with kids over 3 years, try to book something else. 1- checked in late at 3am and there was no one at the reception. Waited 15 to 20 minutes. Called at the given number but no one answered. Phone was ringing infront of me. Walked around corridor and knocked at "staff only'' door ,luckily found responsible there, got checked in. 2. Toilet is so small and top of that, the washbasin is out of the toilet in the room. You have to come out of toilet to use washbasin.

Mid week we heard slamming doors, running and screaming at 9:00 p.m. The bathroom was so small there was 2” between the toilet and the open door. This seemed very dangerous after a shower as you had to try to open the door after drying and squeeze through the opening. Our room had furniture that had NEVER been cleaned. The breakfast area where they served food was extremely small and could only accommodate 10 people at a time. Seating was also very dirty. No one came to clean the tables after someone left. In summary, we will never stay there again. Shame on the Hyatt Corporation that allows the local management to destroy what used to be a good name.

AVOID THIS PLACE if cleanliness and comfort are important to you. The room smelled musty and the sink filled as I brushed my teeth. The AC did not cool at night and I suspect the sheets had not been changed since the previous guest. Management did not address our concerns, which was a surprise for Hyatt.

Hotel provided another room Would like another free night from Expedia for the inconvenience.

This was the worst hotel stay I've ever had. Only 1 of 4 elevators was working the entire 4 night stay. For several hours no elevators were working at all and we were on the 12th floor. At 3Am an alarm was set off and everyone had to walk down the stairs to the street. There was absolutely no communication about what happened. No one even told us it was ok to go back inside. When we told the hotel manager about our experience she didn't care. The floors are all dirty and stained. They gave us 1 coffee pod and two towels for 2 people 4 nights and we had to call for more. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights that were supposed to be two double beds with a sofa bed. I emailed days before my stay to ask for an adjoining room to which they responded “Absolutely.” When I got to the hotel they gave me a hard time about the adjoining room. The manager tried to give me two rooms on the same floor but not adjoining or even next to each other. They were able to finally give me two rooms together (not adjoining) however one was a single bed with a sofa bed which was not what I originally paid for. The room was smaller and listed at a cheaper price than the double bed. The manger offered me a $20 refund after I declined a complimentary drink at the bar. I booked two double bed rooms which were priced differently as well at the time I booked them online. Same room one for $20 more? The room I was given was listed significantly lower than the double bed room that I initially paid for. I haven’t received any refund from the hotel.

Very Bad experience, was given a Room with two queen beds even though we reserved a King Bed Room, and were then later told that the Television does not work in the room. The room given to us smelled awful and the beds were filthy, I have been to a fair share of hotels around the country, this one tops it at being the worst.

I put in correct one, dont know how they can screw that up. The hotel said hotels.com never gave them my email or anything Was first time i used them and they screwed it up. Never again. Will pass this along to all my friends and family. Horrible service

Great staff, nice area everything close by. Shopping mall food places and even halaal food options are there. Would stay here again good breakfast options. And they will try to accommodate. The rooms are nice and big and were clean. The kids loved going to the indoor pool.

Not good for the prices that I paid

I didn’t get to stay. I had booked a room, but when I got there I was told none were available because Beyoncé was in town. What they wanted was me to pay $1500 for a room, not $250.

I stayed at the Hyatt Place Oak Brook on May 17, 2025, and was extremely disappointed with the experience. The bed in our room was both broken and visibly unsanitary, making it impossible to use. As a result, some of our group had to sleep on the floor, which was completely unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. I really would like a full refund and the management team refuses to acknowledge my concerns.
