Breakfast was average due to some offerings being stale and hard (pancakes and hash browns). There were no USB charging ports in my room. Bring your own plug-in charger.

Check in was good. The staff was friendly. We arrived at our room. Walked in and saw cockroaches running across the bed and night stand. We left ! The staff said they canceled my reservation but I have yet to successfully contact hotels.com. I tried chat but was unsuccessful.

I loved everything about this place from location, to staff, comfy beds, cold room, a beautiful renovated room at that! BREAKFAST WAS PHENOMENAL and the eggs were real!! Their breakfast buffet setup is great and the food was excellent! It’s not often that you can give a hotel a 5 star rating across the board- so I never really do surveys but this place deserves all the credit! Hands down I would rebook when we need it again! Thank you so much!! <3

Amazing stay! Gloria took care of us each morning at breakfast making sure the breakfast buffet was fresh, well stocked and clean! She was friendly, upbeat and kind! Room was perfect and employees had the best customer service!

We had room 222. The linens were clean but the carpet smelled and burned my nose so bad and needs to be replaced! The cleaning staff do as much as they can but the hotel could use a little investment in new carpet and furniture. The staff was kind and courteous.

The staff was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. This location is convenient with a lot of shopping centers, restaurants, and attractions near. The building has a fresh smell but there were a few roaches that resided in the bathroom area, and someone should come spray to prevent these type of visitors in the future.

The biggest issue was that we did not have any hot water. When I called the front desk, the employee on the phone said she would see what she could do about it. The next morning, I spoke with a gentleman at the desk who stated they had reset the system but that no maintenance staff would be available until later that morning. As a result, we still did not have hot water. I also spoke with another guest staying at the hotel who said they were experiencing the same problem, so it appeared to be an issue affecting multiple rooms. Overall, the lack of communication, the inconvenience of not having hot water, and the unwelcoming service made our stay frustrating. I hope the hotel addresses these issues for future guests.

The breakfast was average No housekeeping service pn weekends except you are staying more a week or you arri ve before 5pm ti request service. Any late arrival is almost our of lock. This is the first in my over 40 years of traveling with no housekeeping on weekends

The reception was friendly, and the whole check-in process went smoothly. The room and halls smelled good and clean. The room itself was clean and tidy. Breakfast was also good for what it was and had a nice variety. The basement parking was also very nice to have. The location was also close to the shops I wanted to go to. I mainly didn't like that there were roaches present in the kitchen and the restroom. Also, the water would spill out of the shower, so I had to clean it up.

Your staff member Jen, went above and beyond the call of duty to mail us a mobile phone we left or lost on the property. She taught us how to create the mailing label and follow the shipping process. Without her very excellent customer service, we would be spending a lot of money on a new phone. We will stay at your property every time we are in San Antonio and recommend the Stone Oak Staybridge Suites location to others. Thank you, Jen….you are a top notch professional! Ruben Iguaran

The staff. The gentleman at the front desk who checked us in was the definition of friendly professionalism and the best choice to put in front of customers. Would love to go back to theis property in the future for this level of treatment.

Hotel was under construction therefore amenities were not what they could have been. It would have been nice to have been notified ahead of booking that facility was under construction. Noise level was never an issue but full display of breakfast and social hour amenities would have been great. Room was spacious but bathtub could have been cleaner. Air conditioning worked the best from most places I have stayed.

It’s not all Staybridge locations. Just this one at 1604 and 281 in San Antonio. 10 out of 10 won’t boom here again.

Room very clean, we like the shampoo and soap dispensers. Breakfast was amazing with many choices and some different choices the 2nd morning. Even with the construction of the new lobby which was almost done, it is a very nice hotel with great staff and would stay here again.

The room was not clean and the furniture was dated, smelly and abused. House keeping never checked by our room and never changed our trash bins, towels or sheets out.

Clean rooms and friendly staff.

Property was under renovation when we reached , half of the area was closed because of that. It should have been specified while booking that work would be going on as we had a kid with us and didn’t want him running into machines or any kind if dust etc.

We were put on the 5th floor apparently the fifth floor is where everyone that has pets goes. My girlfriend was woke up by dogs barking and rooms around us the first two mornings and the third morning I was woke up by a dog running up and down the hallway barking when I went out it acted like it wanted to buy it so I called front desk and it took 45 minutes for someone to show up and take care of the dog when I asked for a refund or partial refund I was told that they would give me IHG rewards points I'm not happy

The guy who was cleaning up around the buffet had THE MOST BEAUTIFUL customer service I have ever experienced. He was very welcoming inviting and friendly. As we were exiting the elevators he told us good morning and that breakfast was being served.

Hotel is dark and gloomy. Needs some upgrades. Doesn’t smell very nice either. Hall smells like cat urine very strong odor. Would hold my breath to get to elevator. Floor looked like it was not swept or mopped and carpet stained. Shower doesn’t work very well. Water comes out of spout while showering so it takes away from water pressure. Would suggest more lighting in parking garage for safety.

As for the room itself. It was fairly clean and all the ammenties worked, but there was quite a bit of damage in the room. Gouges in furniture, cabinet doors handing off hinges, and the closet frame was seporated from the rest of the wall. It also had a real Overlook Hotel with poor lighting and dingy walls. I will not stay again.

Upon arriving, our first impression of the exterior and lobby was positive. It appeared to be a very nice, high quality hotel. However, things went downhill quickly after checkin. We arrived at nearly 5pm, but our room still wasn’t ready. The front desk staff made it sound like it was still being cleaned. So we waited for a while. I don’t mind waiting a bit longer for a properly cleaned room. But that is NOT what we got. Our room was filthy. We booked a two bedroom suite with a kitchen and just to list a few things: the handles on several upper cabinets were sticky with syrup, there was still bits of food stuck in the sink and disposal, every single door handle in the room was smeared with visible fingerprints, one bedspread was covered with long black hair and shorter hair - possibly pet hair. The only lighting in the bedroom comes from two bedside lamps, and one of them was blown out. There were food crumbs all over the seats of the chairs, as if the cleaning staff had not even pulled them out to check. We found candy crumbs on the floor in both bedrooms, large stains all over the chairs, carpets and sides of the bed from spilled drinks. The living area had two ottoman cubes on wheels. We opened them up and the inside contained the previous guest’s candy wrappers!!! Like 20 or more! The living area furniture was in total disrepair with rips, holes, and tears. I took pictures of everything.And the road construction on1604 goes on ALL night fyi. Positives: beds were comfy.

The service when something did not work was fast that they did not offer ice upon our arrival, the ice machine on our fridge did not work and it took someone over 45 minutes to figure out how it worked then we had to wait another hour to have ice.. this is unacceptable for the price we pay..guest should be offered ice like in all other places..and our ice machine should be supplying ice upon our arrival if not.. this was the only negative thing all else was great. Staff was very nice.

Staff were friendly room was ok, but saw a couple of small cockroaches in room, one was alive and one was dead. In the hallway it seemed like some rooms had smokers in them. In the lobby and especially in the breakfast area, it had a bad smell! Outdoor area was nice, with plenty of sitting areas to work or relax.

For an old hotel it was fine overall. This was my first time choosing an IHG hotel and I wanted to like it more. As soon as we got in the room there was a bad smell which turned out to be a trash can full of the last guests trash. There was some staff that were rude when I informed them the drink machine was either empty or stuck. Even after I said thank you for trying to fix it, I was ignored. The wall by the toilet had brown stains on them that I actually cleaned with my own Clorox wipes which made me feel like the cleaning standard is not so good. Other than that, most staff were kind and helpful and the room overall was comfortable. I did find the bed to be comfy and the sheets looked and smelled clean. I ultimately chose this hotel for the gym and the stove availability in the kitchen area. I wish they had a full set of dumbells in the gym. They were missing a set of 30lb and ONE 40 lb l. But that wasn’t a big deal. Not sure if I would leave Hilton or Marriott for IHG though.

Staff was very friendly, however our rooms were dirty. The floors were dirty and stained, there was a female fingernail found on the floor in one of my rooms. The door in one room was loose and had to be held closed from the inside by a chair.

The breakfast had a good variety and the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately for the hotel the construction on the highway all night long was extremely loud and would wake us up all night. Other than that, the stay was very nice.

This property is full of ROACHES! I have pictures of finding roaches not only in our room but in the hallway, downstairs restroom, and unfortunately, even in the plastic container where they kept the bagels. We had NO A/C, we went to target to buy a fan and spent $60. They have NO housekeeping on the weekends, so no extra towels. Staff compt us for one night and tried hard to accommodate us to move to another room. We had my elderly parents with us and it was too difficult to move everything. Breakfast was horrible. Only ate a bagel. Sausage was tough and the French toast were thins slices that were hard. Food didn’t look appetizing so I personally didn’t try anything else, and after seeing the roach in the bagel container, I didn’t want to eat anything at all. The soda machine had mold inside the ice maker where the ice comes out from. It’s disgusting! Very noticeable and no one thought to clean it out. We were there 2 nights and noticed it as soon as we walked up to it. Other rooms had issues with A/C too, other customers mentioned it to us when they overheard us complain about it. Someone’s truck window got busted from parking on the front side of the building. We ended up parking in the basement, definitely recommend that if you decide to stay. The shower rods in our room were falling apart. The bathtub is super slippery. Just be careful!

The staff was very nice and seemed to have good camaraderie during the morning/breakfast. I liked seeing that. The breakfast was excellent. When we arrived, the smell (air freshener, maybe?) knocked the wind out of us and it was in the hallway as well. We are not scent-sensitive people either. The room was clean except the light fixture by the couch had an inch of dust under it. The bed and pillows were so comfortable.

Loved the kitchen, living room. Separate bedroom and bathroom. Grill outside was nice, patio outside by the pool was nice as well as the hot tub. Breakfast was great. Small dinner Wednesday though Friday was good. Was there for my son's graduation at Lackland AFB 25 minutes away. Loved our stay. Oh, free laundry was nice too!

No housecleaning on weekends; noone ever cleaned our room and we were there for 5 days.

We had a nice stay Thursday and Friday night. Saturday night the other guest were extremely loud when trying to sleep which was after 2am. Bed was comfortable. Front desk employees could have been a little more inviting.

NEVER have I encountered a room in this condition. I would expect this from a cheap chain of hotels, not IHG. There was pet urine & feces stain throughout the carpet/furniture. Desk chair chewed up. Room was unsanitary

This property was advertised as pet friendly. We took our 2 medium size dogs. Our room smelled of urine. We had to spray to cover the smell. The pet areas were not taken care of. They had trash and a lot of debris. There were no poop bags or receptacles to throw poop away afterwards. The breakfasts were less than ideal, and that was our second reason for choosing this hotel. The hallways didn’t look like they had been vacuumed in a while.

This hotel has a good size suites nonetheless it packs a funky smell & their A/C went out on our suite. The hotel management gave us three options. Stay in the room w/o A/C, downsize from a suite of 5 to a suite of 4, or checkout. When asked about a refund they refused and referred us to Expedita. Expedia had the same results, Hotel refused to refund to Expedia as well. So, Be aware of this hotel....

We loved our stay. We had a top floor and corner room away from the noise and we were able to sleep so good. The amenities were fantastic. Loved having the kitchenette and ice maker. Breakfast was great and we were pleasantly surprised by the happy hours with food and complementary beer and wine. We will definitely be coming back!

They broke into several vehicles. They have a parking garage that anyone is allowed to access. It’s run down. Everything in the room was in horrible shape! Everything is old, the utensils were dirty even though we never used them, the fridge looked like it got beat up by Mike Tyson. This hotel for 250$ a night was disgusting. Do not get this hotel! Duty across the street is so much better!!!!

Breakfast items were always cold, pancakes hard as rocks, no syrup, no bowls for cereal, juice machine was always “out or order”, no forks, same chocolate muffins all 7 days. Kitchen in suite was nice but everything else needed a lot of updating.

I booked 2 rooms and one of the room AC was not working. My sister reported it to the front desk and they said they will send someone but no one came. They were so tired from the Six Flags trip and fell asleep at an 80 degree F room until the next day, no one came. I told the front desk about it all they said was sorry the room was hot. The breakfast buffet were served with recycled items like burned and hard scrambled eggs from day before mixed with chorizo and french toast where the bread is already hard and old. C'mon Stay Bridge. You are known to have a better service like this and I have been booking this hotel for a long time. But this one is nothing but disappointment.

It was just ok. The bathroom did smell like mold. It made our stay comfortable and there was breakfast provided. Make sure to go early because they will run out if the hot breakfast.

The entire staff throughout the stay were polite and accommodating. The breakfast was better than expected considering the other reviews. The sitting areas were very comforting. I had everything I needed and would stay again if in the area.

I really like this property. Of course, it has all the basics down pat: It is clean, quiet, safe, convenient. The water is hot, the a/c is cool. The bed is comfy. The linens are clean white and fluffy. The breakfast was better than most! I love the covered parking for no additional charge. The only negative was the closet was poorly arranged. As long as the price stays affordable, this will be my new home in San Antonio.

The stay was horrible I would not recommend any one to stay here. The carpets need to be shampooed. I had to purchase my own vacuum because the hotel host would not send anyone to do this for me. The place had a terrible smell. I always enjoyed the staying at Staybridge but this one by far was the worst. This hotel is not a 3 or 4 star its more 2 star. I feel like I was ripped off with the amount of money I paid for staying here it was dirty and nasty. The staff was not helpful whatsoever. I am very disappointed with my stay. The Wi-Fi was no use we couldn't even connect. The place was very outdated. Most channels were auto only so you couldn't watch a movie. My son was bite up from bugs. This place needs serious upgrades or lower the price and tell people what's really going on here. Close it down until it has a proper inspection!!

Nice parking, and nice perks for meals mid week.

This speaks volumes for the management, and I must mention that every staff member encountered was very friendly and kind. This is not always the case these days! Beyond the room, the facilities were nice. The fitness room had adequate equipment, breakfast was nice (although the dining area was hot), the pool appeared nice, and the parking garage was so nice to have to keep the car out of the sun. Other family staying had better experiences - their rooms were fully fitted and fine. Again, I have to highly commend Jen the manager and her staff for doing all they could to rectify the unfortunate situation. This Staybridge is very conveniently located for hospital purposes, the airport, and in general for the Stone Oak area. I would stay here again if the need arose.

Spectrum had an outage but once back up and running my TV was still not working . I made several attempts to get assistance but no one wanted to look into it. They kept blaming outage but all the other guests tvs were working so i just gave up. Tried to warm up my food and microwave was also not working. Sheets also had a stale odor to them. Worst possible stay.

I always stay at Staybridge when I travel but it’s the first time staying at the one in San Antonio this one in particular is a little dated but still good , I needed an extra blanket and they didn’t have any , still enjoyed my stay got a good rest ,

We got a two bedroom suite and it was spacious and comfy! Cleaning lacked quite a bit. Beds were okay. We found left over food in fridge, a hairbrush with nasty hair in a drawer, and a Target receipt in the cushion. There were some (possibly chocolate) stains on the side of the bed (mattress, floor) Hotel staff were friendly! Had a little market to get snacks/drinks. Breakfast was put away at 8:50 when it said till 9:30… so we went somewhere to eat.

The rooms were spacious. Things were not taken care of, such as lights in the shower.

The front desk staff insisted we pay the pet fee “in cash” and they were very reluctant to give a receipt for this - said they always collect this in cash with no receipt - we requested a receipt be typed on letterhead and given to us which it was done with great hesitancy.

Bathroom sink was clogged before we used it. Front desk was informed 3 times and it never got fixed. Common areas of hotel like halls are not very clean. Carpets are dirty and stained all over. Breakfast food is not very good.

The staff was great, however we had some bugs in our first room. I took some pictures and showed them to the front desk who gave us another room immediately. That's not a great way to start out a stay at a hotel because you feel like if bugs are in one room they are probably in another. But we didn't have any problems in the new room. Both rooms however were in desperate need of replacing all furnishings, needed paint and repair jobs and just needed a general refreshing of the property. I did love the parking garage and security for the parking areas. Again the staff was great when I had issues they were addressed, but I wouldn't stay here again until they redo the room furnishings.

Never ever again! The room we had booked “wasn’t available “ The room they put us in was musty it smelled terrible and the bathroom needs a good cleaning. The tub and shower curtain was stained. Sadly because we were there for a medical procedure and many other people were there for the eclipse, we paid 4x more than the regular price. The young lady at the front desk was less than pleasant, but I hope it was only because they were busy.

We needed a more centrally located hotel for our trip, and this fit the bill nicely! It was easy to get to downtown or the local amusement parks. Grocery stores and restaurants were nearby. The suite was clean. We has everything we needed for our stay!

Everything was very clean all the staff was very friendly, we didn’t have any problems. The only thing was there was 3 towels in the room when we got there when we were a family of 5 but we just asked for more towels and they were provided. We will definitely be staying here again.

The staff was great. The property overall is very comfortable & well taken care of. The property has secured parking for your vehicle which is amazing and not seen at many properties. The beds are very uncomfortable. That’s probably the only complaint I had. We had 3 suites for a family event in town. The overall comfort was good.

Staff was really responsive. Building is showing a bit of wear. Furniture in living room of suite was very worn but everything worked and was comfortable enough.

The location is great and for the price offered it was a good deal for the space and type of room!

We had called 2 days before our trip to let the hotel know we would be checking in late as our flight did not land until 12:30 am. We had booked a room that contained 2 separate sleeping areas. We got there and when we entered the room there was only one bed and no other area. We went to the front desk, was given a second key to another room for my son who is a minor. Their solution was to place us in separate rooms, not even adjoining rooms. The room was not clean. I was stepping on things that were left on the floor, the bathroom was nothing I wanted to use, there was some kind of stain/substance left on the night stand, curtains were falling down, and the light looked like it could fall from the ceiling at any time. The pictures online were NOT what it was in person! SIDE NOTE, Hotels.com were amazing and helped us switch hotels. We were able to actually speak to someone at 3:00am and had everything worked out by 4:30am. Thanks to Hotels.com our holiday was saved

Super quiet and good facilities and clean

The trash bin on the floor made the entire floor smell unpleasant. The rooms are halfway clean. There was dust on the furniture and the fridge had spills that weren’t cleaned up. Breakfast was mediocre.

This hotel is a bit beat up. Rooms are average.
